EveryChild CA's ECE Voices | Jan 21 Advocacy Day Prep

EveryChild California & ECE Voices Advocacy Day is on January 21. Join us for the Advocacy Day preparation Zoom meeting on Wednesday, January 15th. 

We'll cover the following topics:

• Understanding the Swing Space and Capitol
• Effectively and efficiently sharing your message and using a message box
  • Talking Points
• Navigating Legislative meeting etiquette
• Making a lasting impression
• Building a trusting relationship
• Following up

Your personalized agenda, talking points, and handouts will be emailed to you. Please print these and bring them with you. Additional copies will be available through Justina Erpelding, Advocacy Organizer with EveryChild California, who will be on-site at Advocacy Day and can be reached at 319-541-4656 and will be located at the Starbucks across the street from the Capitol from 830 am until the meetings start.

Please be flexible, as schedules at the Capitol change quickly. If changes do occur to your schedule, you will be notified through your Google calendar invitation. Justina will do her best to keep you informed of any last-minute changes. 

Drop-in meetings can be held while visiting the Capitol, especially if your meetings get cancelled. Please do not expect to meet with a legislator or staff member if you choose to do this. You can ask, but you might instead leave the information packet with your business card at their front desk. Offices with a green light outside the door are available for guests. If a red light is on, they are busy.
