Letter from the Leadership - November 2024
November 13, 2024
Dear Members,
As we process the presidential, statewide, and local election results from last week, EveryChild California wants to provide you with some resources and reaffirm our commitment to advocating for and providing resources to the early care and education community and supporting the incredible work that is done for families and children in California every day.
Numerous articles and thoughts have been shared over the past week, and we at EveryChild California encourage you to stay informed and engaged as we navigate this new political landscape. Changes are not new to the ECE community, and as with any election, we will offer you more resources in the year ahead.
California’s codified investments in ECE and the work developing an Alternative Methodology through the Quality and Rate Workgroup will continue. The voices of our community continue to be essential in shaping the future of ECE funding in California, and your participation in discussions and advocacy will be more important than ever.
To inform this dialogue, EveryChild California will be hosting conversations, focus groups, and trainings and will elevate the importance of ECE in the press and with the legislature.
